Here’s our list of the best comedy anime
-
Barakamon
Barakamon is the kind of program that gets you in the mood for a fun summer.
There are no truly unique cliches, twists, or story threads in this film. Simply put, this is a hilarious character-driven comedy.
It also has a distinct atmosphere due to the absence of high school, basketball players, or video games. Calligraphy and the countryside, on the other hand.
Sei Handa is banished to the Goto islands to reflect on his behavior after losing his temper and sucker-punching a veteran. This is when the supporting cast enters the picture, as a slew of brash kids, nosy elderly men, and everything in between annoys our protagonist.

Haven’t You Heard? I’m Sakamoto
Sakamoto is a complete moron. It’s the most predictable but unpredictably unpredictable show I’ve seen in a long time.
We quickly recognize Sakamoto as a perfectionist who will always come out on top and win. But he does it in the strangest, most fantastic manner imaginable.
You just sit there smiling at the end of every argument, repeating, “Of course, that would happen.” It’s all so absurd that it makes complete sense.
Also, everyone falls in love with this man; for the love of God, the bullies who planned to beat him up ended up using his photo as their phone backdrop.
Then there’s Kubota’s mother, who is a pain in the neck.
This anime is similar to Mission Impossible, although it’s much more likely because Sakamoto is involved.
-
The Devil as a Part-Timer
You would assume it’s simply another seasonal power fantasy Isekai series based on the title alone, but oh wow. What it comes down to is a humorous slice-of-life animation with the strangest overarching narrative imaginable.
Like when you’re minding your own business frying burgers to pay your rent next month, and suddenly Lucifer appears and begins blowing everything up. After an episode, he becomes a shut-in neet.
Yeah, that’s not going to make sense until you see it.
Not to mention your arch-nemesis, who not only can’t decide whether or not she’s meant to murder you but also works in customer service.
-
Isekai Quartet
This is a little bit of a cheat, but don’t say anything. I didn’t expect to like Isekai Quartet as much as I did, as it appeared to be a simple cash-grab at first.
However, the show’s comedy is actually rather brilliant, parodying a number of isekai cliches in general. But also on the separate crossover programs from which the cast hails.
It’s also essentially high-end, high-quality fan fiction. We can now examine how particular characters might interact with other well-known figures.
The episodes are brief, the visual style is charming, and there isn’t a lot of ambiguity here.
The only flaw I can think of is that if you haven’t seen the entire series, it contains a lot of jokes that revolve around other narrative aspects, so if you haven’t read the other series, you could miss a few laughs.

Kiss Him, Not Me
Well, this one is more on the Best comedy anime for adults’ side… This show reminds me of a yaoi underdog narrative.
Our main character, Kae Serinuma, has always had two traits that have characterized her existence. If you get my drift, I am overweight and want a little Yuri in my life.
However, when Kae loses weight quickly, one of these qualities fades. And, wouldn’t you know it, four males have expressed interest in dating her! Her lone character pillar, though, remains. So she tries to make the males fall in love with each other instead.
Doesn’t the title make sense now? What happens when you try to ship lads who wish to sail your yacht is left to your imagination. It’s pure gold.
-
Tic Elder Sister (Plastic Nee-san)
If you’re not searching for a long-term anime romance, this is the place to be. Do you simply want to laugh for one night and then hang up?
Then Plastic Nee-San is the character for you! It’s a collection of twelve 2-minute sketches jam-packed with humor.
The program excels at developing characters at a fast pace. In less than half an hour, you’ll feel like you know these people.
It also means that there isn’t much place for filler stuff. There is virtually little downtime between laughter since everything is a punch line.
The show’s comedy isn’t subtle, and it doesn’t take itself seriously at all. After a minute or two, you’ll notice something.
-
To Be Hero
First, there’s a regular plumber. Pretty attractive, yet sluggish with a hint of sleaziness. Okay, a little more than a sprinkling.
He spends his days hitting on women and bragging about his superpower of being able to detect a woman’s hip size just by looking at her. But, surprise, surprise, he now possesses superhuman abilities… after attempting a Mario move and falling through a pipe (a toilet pipe to be more precise).
The only drawback is that he has become an obese and unattractive man who is no longer recognized by his own daughter.
If you don’t think “sucking down a toilet to obtain superpowers” sounds like a good old comedy, we obviously have different tastes!
-
Prison School
There are no words to adequately depict Prison School. Honestly, it belongs in the NSFW category.
To summarize the scenario, five filthy lads are sentenced to one month in prison after peeping on some girls showering. And then, once they’re in prison, they become even more perverse.
The anime is similar to a boy’s locker room. There’s a lot of fanservice here, a lot of sexual innuendoes here, and a lot of fetishes in your face.
The show also addresses some of humanity’s most pressing issues. Like whether the finest boobs or butts are boobs or butts. The genuine questions, you know.
-
Ore wo Suki Nano wa Omae Dake ka yo (ORESUKI Are you the only one who loves me?)
It’s difficult to say whether the romantic/drama parts or the comedic elements of this program come first.
Because, as you might have guessed from the title, the show’s central topic is the quest for love. It does, however, have some fantastic recurrent jokes and over-the-top reactions.
Especially in the beginning, the protagonist is a bit of a Nice GuyTM. As a result, his flirting tactics and attitude account for a significant portion of the show’s humor.
Bench-kun, that sneaky bastard, is portrayed in the program as the strangest and yet most formidable foe ever to assault the medium.
Overall, there’s a decent balance of laughter and sad tears in this performance, so you’ll get what you’re looking for.
-
Shimoneta
Terrorism is horrible, to be sure. What about sex terrorism, though?
Because all pornographic information is forbidden and chastity is enforced in Shimoneta, sexually dissatisfied teenagers are left to walk the earth and make do with what they can.
So it’s up to our “terrorists” to disseminate the law of the obscene over the city once more.
They all put their undergarments over their heads and display filthy images in public. That’s the type of performance you’re in for, so be ready.
Also, don’t watch this around your family or new acquaintances. Despite the fact that the program is mostly a comedy, it has an R rating for a reason.
-
That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime
Continuing with our pursuit to find the best comedy anime of all time we have this slimy selection… Satoru Mikami, a 37-year-old man stuck in a dead-end career and dissatisfied with his humdrum life, is killed by a thief.
His death, on the other hand, gives birth to his second existence as a slime monster! Along with other monsters, he integrates into his new existence and works to promote peace on the new planet.
This show features action, drama, comedy, and adventure, giving you several reasons to watch. Also, don’t watch this around your family or new acquaintances. Despite the fact that the program is mostly a comedy, it has an R rating for a reason.

I Can’t Understand What My Husband Is Saying
Hajime Tsunashi is a severe otaku who refuses to leave his apartment and tries to make a living from his blog.
Kaoru, on the other hand, is an industrious office lady who enjoys life simply except for the fact that she is a raging alcoholic.
The ups and downs of this unusual couple’s existence begin with fresh ups and downs.
Finally, the pair discovers love in each other, overcoming absurd hurdles with a grin and bringing happiness to their spouse.
Watch Hajime attempt to explain his idiotic acts to his wife, and chuckle as Kaoru can’t comprehend a word he’s saying.
-
Mob Psycho 100
Shigeo Kageyama, sometimes known as “Mob,” is a young man with extraordinary abilities. He’s an Esper, that’s for sure!
The mob is determined to live a normal life and wants his unusual abilities to remain concealed, but something dreadful occurs to him when his emotion reaches a cent!
When evil beings, wicked espers, and misunderstood organizations enter his life, what decisions will he make?
This season is seen to be a tad less successful than season two, which was a smash hit.
Nonetheless, the intriguing narrative and increased comedy help it to progress on that front. However, most of it is nostalgic.

Wotakoi: Love Is Hard For Otaku
Narumi Momose, a diehard otaku, is the protagonist of the novel. After discovering her little secret, every lover she’d ever had dumped her.
When she meets fellow otaku and now coworker Hirotaka Nifuji, she devises a strategy to avoid being out at her new job.
And the strategy is to DATE HIM!! “In a slice of life anime, the perfect combination of the mature tale, comedy, and Otaku culture.”
-
Horimiya
People tend to live two lives, one in which they disguise their true selves in order to be popular.
Kyoukp and Izumi are in the same boat. Kyouko, a popular girl, looks after her younger sister while their parents are gone.
Izumi, on the other hand, conceals his tattoos and piercings, which he adored.
And one bright day, they both learn each other’s secrets and quickly become friends.
Is there, nevertheless, any room for love? The feedback has been quite positive. The romantic and humorous elements of this anime were well received by the audience.
It appears that the tale and characters will give you warmth as well as some fantastic animation.
